Known as “The Eurovision Queen”, Maxxy Rainbow (birth name Maxwell Meyer) is a 25 year old (born April 21st, 1999), U.S. based drag artist and Eurovision blogger from Pittsburgh, PA. Her drag journey began at the age of 14. after she started her YouTube channel "Maxxy Rainbow" in which she posted various drag transformations. This gained her notoriety after New York nightlife legend James St. James, featured her “Trixie Mattel makeup transformation” video in an article highlighting Maxxy’s impressive drag skills at only 15 years old. Following the article, Maxxy used her platform as a way to carve a spot in the drag community for underage drag queens and stood at the forefront of developing the teen queen community. Continuing to grow her platform on YouTube for several years, Maxxy simultaneously majored in environmental sciences at Pittsburgh Science and Technology Academy, which is reflected in her art today, combining her ultra-colorful aesthetic with an intergalactic view on the naturalistic world.

In 2017, following her high school graduation, Maxxy enrolled in Bella Capelli Academy, A Paul Mitchell Partner School, and went on to graduate in Spring 2018 with a license in cosmetology and is currently a board certified cosmetologist.

In Fall of 2018 Maxxy Rainbow launched her YouTube Channel “Maxxy Rainbow ESC” which focuses on creating content surrounding the Eurovision Song Contest exclusively. What started out as a hobby for her to connect with fellow Eurovision fans around the globe quickly turned into a worldwide success. Maxxy has since been featured on numerous international television shows including Norway’s national selection for Eurovision, Melodi Grand Prix & Ukraine’s national selection Vidbir, as well as countless international news sites and radio shows everywhere from Iceland to Paris to Australia!

Currently Maxxy continues to create visual art through her drag persona, while cultivating a community through her Eurovision content. While Maxxy’s content is known for being fun and vivid, she also uses her platform to speak on social issues she’s passionate about such as human rights, environmental conservation and representation of young queer artists. She hopes to expand her platform by working directly with Eurovision, becoming a prominent face within the Eurovision community as she continues to use her platform to uplift young queer artists globally and create a space for their work to flourish.
